OHL replacement in distribution network

As overhead lines (OHLs) approach the end of their service life, their structural integrity and operational efficiency can significantly decline, leading to increased maintenance costs and potential service disruptions. Our detailed analysis assessed the implications of replacing aging OHL sections with modern overhead lines and cables where necessary. We quantified potential consequences for grid stability after such change, with special attention to phenomena of overvoltages - in critical off-peak demand scenarios.

Maximizing ethane recovery from gas plants

Ethane production is crucial because it serves as a primary feedstock for producing ethylene, which is used to manufacture essential products like plastics and synthetic fibers that are integral to daily life. In some cases it is possible to maximize ethane recovery from gas plants. Through set of detailed power system studies which included steady state, transient state, power quality and EMT analysis in ETAP and PSCAD, we investigated the safety of integrating facility which maximizes ethane recovery from gas plants through various separation processes.
